Converting a client's Wella formula into Goldwell? The Shade Library matches shades by verified depth and ordered reflects, not by the number printed on the tube. Here's how the two ranges line up.
Wella and Goldwell levels line up, but their reflect structures don't always. Only 48 of 190 Wella shades have a Goldwell shade with the same depth and the same reflects in the same order. For the other 142, the nearest Goldwell shade changes the result, and knowing that before you mix saves a correction.
The straightforward ones: standard natural shades where both brands print the same level. Any chart gets these right.
