Converting a client's Biosense formula into Goldwell? The Shade Library matches shades by verified depth and ordered reflects, not by the number printed on the tube. Here's how the two ranges line up.
Brands don't calibrate their levels the same way. For 1 of the Biosense shades that have a Goldwell match, the matching Goldwell shade carries a different level on the tube. A chart that swaps like-for-like numbers would send you to the wrong depth for every one of them. The Shade Library maps each shade to a standard depth and reflect structure first, then finds the equivalent.
The straightforward ones: standard natural shades where both brands print the same level. Any chart gets these right.
