Pulp Riot to Matrix

Converting a client's Pulp Riot formula into Matrix? The Shade Library matches shades by verified depth and ordered reflects, not by the number printed on the tube. Here's how the two ranges line up.

68Pulp Riot shades in The Shade Library
35have an exact Matrix match: same depth, same reflects in the same order
31of those matches sit at a different level than the numbers suggest

Why a same-number chart gets these wrong

Brands don't calibrate their levels the same way. For 31 of the Pulp Riot shades that have a Matrix match, the matching Matrix shade carries a different level on the tube. A chart that swaps like-for-like numbers would send you to the wrong depth for every one of them. The Shade Library maps each shade to a standard depth and reflect structure first, then finds the equivalent.

Sample conversions

The straightforward ones: standard natural shades where both brands print the same level. Any chart gets these right.
