Converting a client's L'Oréal formula into Wella? The Shade Library matches shades by verified depth and ordered reflects, not by the number printed on the tube. Here's how the two ranges line up.
L'Oréal and Wella levels line up, but their reflect structures don't always. Only 51 of 165 L'Oréal shades have a Wella shade with the same depth and the same reflects in the same order. For the other 114, the nearest Wella shade changes the result, and knowing that before you mix saves a correction.
The straightforward ones: standard natural shades where both brands print the same level. Any chart gets these right.
